Studio & Bio

Dance To Connect opened in 2006. It is a quaint in home studio with a 1000 sq ft sprung dance floor.  It is a comfortable and fun environment to learn. You will feel very welcomed and right at home.

Private lessons are very private with no other teachers and students using the floor or music.

Group classes are progressive and the material from the prior weeks are reviewed every week, building on what you learned the previous week. You do not need a partner to join the group classes.  We rotate giving everyone the chance to dance with everyone.

April Morrow’s Bio

April began dancing over two decades ago and has been performing, competing, choreographing, and teaching ever since.  April is certified through the National Dance Council of America (NDCA) as a Pro/Am Teacher.  Her education and excelled training was propelled to the next level while being trained by Skippy Blair of Golden State Dance Teachers Association (GSDTA).

A large part of her furthered education and experience comes from her certification in the Universal Unit System. Widely respected for her ability to teach solid social dance basics, April specializes in leading & following techniques and diagnostic skills, and is quickly able to spot a dancer’s problem areas and suggest a change in technique, often resulting in immediate improvement.

April is able to break down patterns and concepts and teach fundamental dance techniques and strives to keep each one in its pure form.  April loves choreographing and teaching all styles and levels of dance, whether for beginners, wedding couples, social dancers or show case performance.  Her emphasis is on building strong technical dancers with a solid foundation of the fundamentals for all their dances.

Due to her GSDTA certification with Skippy Blair, coaching from world champions, and her passion for West Coast Swing April Morrow has a large demand and following for this dance. After fifteen years of Dance To Connect studio offering country and ballroom classes it has now evolved  primarily into a West Coast Swing Studio other than the weddings she does for engaged couples. She still teaches ballroom, country, and line dancing in private lessons and at PLU however all group classes at her studio have evolved into West Coast Swing.

April has had the priveledge of working with many of our world champions:
