Learn your Four Basic Patterns Correctly! Including Anchoring, Rolling the Feet, Double and Triple Rhythms, Hand Changes, Frame, Connection, and Stretch.

April 3 – May 1 Five Weeks $50
Class 7:00 – 8:00  Practice 8:00 – 9:00

No rotating in this class! We are working on 8 count choreography phrasing to learn to dance to the music by hitting, holding, and playing to the music and not just dancing patterns.

Mondays
Level 2 Class has 1-5 years experience!
April 1 – 29 Five Weeks $50
Class 7:00 – 8:00  Practice 8:00 – 9:00

Solidifying your 4 patterns using the technique of posting and floating the post. To include technique of stretch, awareness of connection to partner, layering rotation and hand changes creating tucks and rolls. We will also  explore the 5 basic types of whips.

  1. Proper technique for leads initiating stretch on the +a and follows stretching back before moving forward creating the elasticity and connection before moving forward to make weight change on beat 1.
  2. Leads posting on beat 4 of side passes and push breaks and beat 6 of whips and not shuffling after follow doing a cha cha when you should be anchoring back preparing to initiate stretch into the next move.
  3. Follows learning to stay within perimeters and not release their lats and over extend their connected arm while anchoring back.
  4. Learning to keep your clean third foot dance position when anchoring.
  5. Exploring natural, reverse, boomerang, basket, and continuous whips.
  6. Leads shaping and looking to right on the +a 5 of all whips while follows sit back into the connection avoiding placing weight over the ball of foot.
